SUDHIR DAMLE, P.E. – President
With over 35 years of experience in program and construction management of mega projects, project controls and claims management and resolution. His project experience includes large-scale construction projects both in the U.S. and overseas. Sudhir has extensive experience managing large complex projects. He has served as the project controls oversight manager for infrastructure projects / programs in excess of $2 Billion for clients such as the City of Los Angeles Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Project, LAWA, SANBAG, and Metro. Sudhir’s passion for project controls has resulted in his developing the DHS system of proactive project controls. Sudhir leads the DHS system of Proactive project controls and trains each DHS team member in this system.
Eric Slaasted, CxM, LEED AP – Sr. Vice President Operations
Has over 20 years of experience in the delivery of buildings of all types including airports, hospitals, schools, labs, industrial and data centers. He has worked in design, general contracting and construction management and has extensive experience in constructability reviews, LEED and commissioning. He has served in Southern California Edison on past projects including leading staff augmentation construction management services and providing constructability reviews. He also has substantial construction management experience on transportation and ports projects and in representing large public clients in the defense of large claims.
Melanie Estes, P.E. – Vice President Transportation Division
Has over 25 years of experience managing the construction of freeways, interchanges, roadway, and bridge projects designed to Federal Highway Administration and Caltrans standards. She is an expert Resident Engineer and has overseen a large transportation program in Fresno County and seven successive Caltrans on-call staff augmentation contracts throughout California. She has managed and administered construction management contracts including design-build delivery with public sector clients with a construction value in excess of $3 billion.
Sunil Mallaiah, A.DBIA, LEED Green Associate, CCM - Vice President Buildings Division
Has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He strongly believes in “putting people first” and is responsible for strategic planning and talent acquisition for the Buildings Division which includes education, port, airport, and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining DHS, he was the Regional Director of Construction for the Facilities Department at the Los Angeles Unified School District. Sunil has managed over $2.5 Billion worth of Capital Improvements at the School District which includes modernization of existing facilities and construction of new facilities. Sunil also has experience working for the Port of Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and the Denver International Airport during his professional career. Sunil has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering.
Julie Casillas, SPHR-CA, SHRM-SCP - HR Director
Has over 14 years of progressive experience in management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, employment, training and safety. She has led an HR department for a large multi-site manufacturing company where she was also part of the corporate HR strategy team. She successfully communicated, aligned and standardized HR practices within the company and worked with the management team to improve organizational performance in safety, training, employee relations, and compensation. Just prior to joining DHS, she was a Human Resources Consultant for a leading provider of outsourced HR solutions. Julie was able to apply her expertise to a diverse client base in multiple industries and consistently achieved top customer satisfaction ratings from her clients.
