Primavera P6 Software Implementation

DHS was selected to provide project management and scheduling support services for the Primavera P6 software implementation program with an emphasis on the Transmission and Substation Business Lines in February 2016. For this program, Primavera P6 was integrated with their key systems of record for each key activity to be able to automate the status update process and provide “one entry” for users.  As part of the program, DHS developed a fully automated process of categorizing detailed costs and assigning them to related work order WBS summaries in Primavera P6. Scope of work also included process development, development of scope specific schedule templates, automating project codes, user acceptance testing, training, implementation, and post implementation support. This process is currently being used for all Transmission and Substation projects. 

Copperleaf C55 Software Implementation Project

Following the success of the Primavera P6 implementation, DHS was asked to continue providing project management services to support the Copperleaf project. The Copperleaf C55 application was selected to support Transmission and Distribution (T&D) with asset management and portfolio management. The aim of this project was to improve visibility to work across the Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute and Close (IPSEC) lifecycle, integrate tools and processes, and reduce the number of stand-alone trackers that do not communicate with SCE’s system of records. As part of this ongoing effort, our role is to manage and facilitate key deliverables in several phases of the project including updating the project charter, developing a project schedule, RACI matrix, blueprinting workshops and overall collaboration with the different internal and external stakeholders, and overall implementation.
