DHS Consulting recently concluded project/construction management services for the SCE Charge Ready Phase 1 Pilot program which consisted of over 60 sites and approximately 1,000 charge ports installed across Southern California Edison’s (SCE) service territory covering 50,000 square miles. The Charge Ready and Market Education programs were developed to support California’s policies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) and air pollutant emissions and to help meet the state’s zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) goals. The Charge Ready program deployed electric infrastructure to support light-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging at customer sites throughout Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) service area.

In December 2018, DHS Consulting was selected to provide project management services to support the SCE Charge Ready Phase 2 Program. This $760M, 4-year initiative has the goal of deploying 48,000 charge ports within Southern California. This contract includes Charge Ready Transit Bus, Charger Ready DCFC Pilot, and Charge Ready Transport Programs.


City of Gardena/GTrans

DHS Consulting was awarded a contract to support the City of Gardena and GTrans in the procurement and construction management effort to install 6 EV charging stations with the infrastructure to charge up to 12 buses. The objective of the project is to provide the infrastructure to support the charging of the GTrans fleet of electric buses. Charging station will be constructed within the City’s bus yard, to charge up to 12 electric buses. 480V Charge stations will provide electricity to 6 current buses, with capacity to add additional charge points in the future. The project was put on hold in June 2018 by the City of Gardena due to their application to SCE for the Charge Ready Transit Bus Program. Prior to the project being put on hold, DHS Consulting developed the content for the Engineering/Design Services RFP.
